Welcome to Thistl. These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Thistl (“we,” “our,” or “us”), a social media and personal brand-building platform.
By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By creating an account, using our website, or accessing Thistl in any way, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.
Thistl is a SaaS platform designed to support individuals (founders, freelancers, and other professionals) in building their personal brands and creating organic social content.
Thistl does not publish directly to social platforms and is not responsible for social media posting on your behalf.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account, including your name and email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You are also responsible for keeping your contact and payment information up to date.

If you choose to use Google or LinkedIn SSO, your login and certain account information will be processed in accordance with the terms and privacy policies of those third-party providers. We are not responsible for any issues or security breaches arising from the use of Google or LinkedIn login services.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
We may offer free trials at our discretion. Subscriptions are billed via third-party payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us and/or the payment processor to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis. Annual subscriptions provide 12 months of access for the price of 10 months. Subscriptions will automatically renew on the applicable billing cycle (monthly or annually) unless you cancel your subscription before the renewal date.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access to the service will continue until the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial periods.
You acknowledge that the use of third-party payment processors is subject to their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for any issues or disputes arising from third-party payment services.
Thistl provides tools and guidance for social media content creation. However, we make no guarantees regarding social media engagement, reach, growth, or any specific outcomes. You acknowledge that success on social platforms depends on many factors beyond our control.
We are not liable for any loss of business, revenue, or opportunity resulting from your use of Thistl.
You are solely responsible for the content you create, upload, or manage using Thistl. If you choose to input personally identifiable information, you do so at your own discretion and risk.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.
We collect the personal information you provide (e.g. name, email) and the content you input into Thistl. This may include business names, goals, or contextual prompts. These inputs, along with the generated outputs, are stored securely to support continuity and tool functionality.
Thistl uses third-party AI provider Anthropic to process your prompts and generate content. This is subject to Anthropic’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We do not control Anthropic’s data handling practices and accept no responsibility for their use of your data.

All intellectual property rights in the Thistl platform, including but not limited to software, logos, designs, and any content provided by us, remain the property of Thistl or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform or branding without our prior written consent.
We offer support during normal UK working hours (9am – 5pm). We aim to respond promptly to all enquiries but do not guarantee specific response times.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Thistl at any time if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. You may also cancel your account at any time through your user dashboard.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thistl disclaims all warranties, express or implied. We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of business, revenue, data, or goodwill.
Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you have paid to Thistl in the 12 months prior to the claim.
We are not responsible for failures or delays in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet outages, third-party service failures, or government actions.
To protect the integrity of the platform and user data, we actively monitor for abusive and unauthorised activities. This includes monitoring for excessive traffic, automated scraping, repetitive data harvesting patterns, and unusual account behaviours such as rapid requests or access from suspicious IP addresses.
We may use security tools, rate-limiting, and automated detection methods to identify and prevent misuse. If we detect potentially harmful activity, we reserve the right to temporarily suspend, investigate, or permanently terminate access without prior notice.
We take reasonable steps to maintain the security of our platform and to ensure a safe user experience, but no system is entirely immune from misuse.
Thistl uses large language models (LLMs) to generate content based on your inputs. These outputs are automatically generated and may not be accurate, up to date, or unique.
You remain responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring that any AI-generated content complies with applicable laws, industry regulations, and platform guidelines. Thistl accepts no responsibility for the use or consequences of any content generated via its AI features.
We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be factually accurate, free from bias, or unique. You understand and accept the risk that similar or overlapping content may be generated for other users.
Subject to applicable laws, you retain the rights to any AI-generated content you choose to publish or export. However, you remain fully responsible for its use and any third-party claims arising from it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or within the platform. Your continued use of Thistl indicates your acceptance of any updates.
